The Mariachi Nuevo Mexico was formed in May 2000 with five skilled performance-mariachi musician. Under the direction of their first trumpet player Rene Perez Diaz, The Mariachi Nuevo Mexico counts two trumpets, vihuela, Mexican bass (Guitarrón), and violins.
The Mariachi Nuevo Mexico is the only bilingual mariachi in NY/NJ, interpreting songs like like “My Way”, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You, “God Bless America”, selections from The Lion King and many more. They perform all types of social events in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Long Island, Pennsylvania and everywhere.
