A native of Hartford, CT, Shenel Johns graduated the Hartt School of Music with a Bachelor in Jazz voice and Music Management studying with legends such as Rene McLean, Shawnn Monteiro, Jimmy Greene, Nat Reeves, and Steve Davis.
This song bird’s unique soulful sound descends from the greats Abbey Lincoln, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, and Whitney, but her vision and tone escapes the boundaries of any vocal stigma.
