Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square’s Multicultural Dance Groups are presented in partnership with Dance Parade and made possible by funding from the New York City Council.
Navatman Dance: Navatman Dance, a New York City based Indian classical dance company stemming specifically from the bharatanatyam classical tradition, is led by artistic director Sahasra Sambamoorthi. Its mission includes bringing extraordinary, boundary-pushing productions to the stage, making Indian classical dance more accessible to understanding and experience without removing the beauties of tradition and history inherent in its development.

Saung Budaya Indonesian Dance Group: Approaching their 10th anniversary, Saung Budaya has grown to become a vital part of the Indonesian community culture in New York. Established in 2005, when artistic director Amalia Suryani came to New York City to lead dance workshops in the Indonesian Consulate, their goal is to introduce Indonesian culture through dance and music to Indonesian American youths in New York City and more generally, to the wider public. A variety of dances from all over the Indonesian archipelago are taught within the group throughout New York City and its neighboring states. Saung Budaya currently consists of 20 dancers and sometimes involves students performing alongside young professionals.

Fraternidad Cultural Incallajta New York: Incallajta New York’s primary purpose is the dissemination of all aspects of the cultural heritage and indigenous traditions of the ancient Inca Empire while striving to maintain and preserve the history and vitality of Bolivia in contemporary time.
